3. MORE KINDS OF DISCRIMINATION
There are other kinds of discrimination
3.1 Age discrimination:
Discrimination against older workers is widespread and hidden largely because most employers are careful not to say they want someone younger. But an ageing population and fewer young people to take up jobs will force employers to look at their mature workers differently
Example: One old lady want to be a vicepresident candidate but the principal manager doesn’t let her work on that because she is to old.
3.2 Pregnancy and breastfeeding discrimination:
Women who are pregnant have the same rights as women who are not pregnant, That means it is against the law to discriminate against pregnant women in all areas of public life including employment, accommodation, education, goods and services and clubs.
The right of women to breastfeed in public without discrimination. That means breastfeeding is okay at work, at public venues, in shops and on public transport.
Example: One lady is in a mall and she is breastfeeding her baby in a public chair, but some people observe her despectively, making her feeling discriminated because she is feeding her baby.
3.3 Marital status discrimination:
We all have a right to be treated equally and fairly on our own merit, whether we are married, single, divorced, separated, widowed or a domestic partner. Marital status is not an acceptable basis on which to make decisions about who is offered a job, accommodation, a loan, a service or admission to a university
Example: A single mother wants to be a club member but her admission is denied because she has two kids and is not married.
3.4 Physical features discrimination:
Another kind of discrimination is when against or treat someone unfairly because of their physical appearance, including height, weight, body shape, disfigurement, skin condition, scar or birthmark.
Example: One lady is very fat and she couldnt entered in abench of a park, a group of boys are pointed her and she feel very bad.
